Memory Foam Mattresses: Main Complains

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Today memory foam mattresses are very popular form of sleeping surfaces. But even they have a lot of complains from the customers which often lead to the returns. So, in this article I would like to present the top complains related to the memory foam mattresses.

- It is hot to sleep. It is hotter to sleep on the memory foam mattress than on the traditional innerspring one because the denser cell structure of the foam memory mattress means the air has some troubles to flow through. The other reason for the problems with the heat is in the foam memory mattress’s ability to shape the body which results in more skin and mattress touching that being exposed to the air.

- Weight of the mattress. Memory foam material is one of the densest polyurethane foam among all. A one cube meter in each direction can weigh up to the 6 lb. It means that it is very difficult to setup and move the foam memory mattress, especially if you have back pain or other health problems.

- Temperature sensitivity. As you know memory foam mattress rapidly reacts to the temperature. A visco elastic memory foam becomes softer in the warm environment and become firmer in cooler environment.

- Odour. Memory foam is a form of polyurethane foam and as any other chemical substance it has a quite specific odour when it is new. It is not harmful at all, but it is quite disturbing.

- Price. Memory foam is a new material that costs a lot. So the production from the memory foam also costs a lot. Usually a memory foam mattress costs between $800 and $4,000.

- Use restrictions. Mattresses made from memory foam have some restrictions for use. For instant, you cannot use electric blankets or electric heaters because they can damage the memory foam mattress. Also you have to place the memory foam mattress on the absolutely flat foundation.

- Trial policies. Almost all manufactures offer 3 months trial period. But here you have to remember that if you return the memory foam mattress during this period back, you have to pay return shipping. You should remember that shipping the mattress back can cost you higher than the original delivery.

- Sagging. The memory foam mattresses lose their ability to rebound just after few months’ exploitation. It could be just a hole in the middle of the mattress.

- Difficult process of cleaning. Visco elastic memory foam mattresses are very difficult to use because of the open cell structure. Stains that can void the warranty are impossible to remove.

- Adjustment period. Unlike the traditional coil spring mattresses, memory foam mattresses need an adjustment period because of the unique weightlessness feeling. Also it needs some break in the exploitation.

If you really take care of your health, then it is logical to take care of healthy sleep as well. And memory foam mattress will help you with that. All sorts of memory foam mattress products are available here – your memory foam mattress web resource.

Vintage Meets Modern With 21st Century Pendants

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

We all know that jewellery fashions in general come and go, but sometimes something sticks around for a long time and remains a popular choice. Interestingly, it is the pendant that remains the favoured jewellery choice of today and women are clambering to get their hands on the latest pendant fashions. You could trace the traditional pendant as far back as the 1920s, but it is the modern pendant of today that has many people splashing their cash to make sure they look stylish. Modern pendants, such as cubic zirconia pendants, are the epitome of chic and luxurious design, which is the favoured choice of many a fashionista. Pendants are well and truly back, and you should be buying the latest designs now.

Magazines have been largely responsible for the resurgence in pendants, and the models on the catwalks are all wearing them. The teens out there will appreciate the stunning jewellery styles that make pendants so attractive, and if the pendant you like is chunky and chic, then its definitely one to buy. In fact, little accents like pendant charms are a preferred choice amongst ladies, and its not uncommon to have 2 or 3 pendant charms on one necklace. Those that like cubic zirconia pendants also like pendant charms that offer a bit of ‘bling’. Perhaps you have never even considered cubic zirconia before, but since it is the stylish must have of the year, it is a good time to get yourself kitted out with the latest pendant styles, be it cubic zirconia pendants or something similar.

Thanks to some of the fashion icons parading around with funky pendants around their necks, pendants have well and truly come back into fashion. Its now not sufficient to just have a necklace that sits neatly positioned on the neckline. Some pendants these days are even considered ‘novelty’ with funky designs that teenagers love to wear. Mix and match your pendants to create your own inimitable style, and you can be sure that you will remain at the top of the fashion stakes whilst everyone else tries to keep up.
